Aleksandar Grozdanovski, known as Herzel, is a Macedonian producer, DJ, and sound artist active on the international electronic music scene for over two decades. Originally trained in philosophy and photography, he creates music that combines post-punk, synthwave, and EBM influences within house and techno frameworks.
Since his 2012 debut, Herzel has released work on labels including Hivern Discs, Uncanny Valley, and Funnuvojere Records. His productions have been featured on compilations for Cocoon, Watergate, and Compost, and have received support from artists such as Sven Väth, KiNK, and Joy Orbison. His work has been covered by Resident Advisor and DJ Mag, and broadcast on BBC, NTS, Rinse FM, and Red Bull Radio.
In 2020, he launched the HRZL project, focused on experimental synthesis and abstract electronic music for dance performances.
