'Hotel 88' is about the lives of people brought together by love and similar interests. The performance features:
The plot of the performance takes place and is performed in a hotel (88 Rooms Hotel/Radisson Collection), where two couples are on their honeymoon. The performance is specific precisely because of the venue, which is not a traditional stage.
The turning point comes when the past knocks on the door of former loves. Over the course of one night, all four characters undergo changes and reassessments of their lives. The performance represents a Serbian interpretation of the 1931 Hollywood drama 'Private Lives'. Each of the four characters reflects real people who are certainly found in the audience's everyday surroundings.
A distinctive element of the performance is comedy – even dry and monotonous scenes are endlessly funny. Prejudices related to certain professions and life situations are presented in a comic way.
An example is the character of Sandra, a self-proclaimed 'lifestyle' blogger whose functioning depends on daily likes and live broadcasts on Instagram and Facebook. The male characters, on the other hand, place their egos above everything else, resulting in constant laughter from the audience. After the final scene, the audience will be prompted to reflect.
