Promotion of the novel “Epitaf za glumca”

Promotion of the novel “Epitaph for an Actor" by the author Ljubica Kubura will be held in the garden of the House of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić, on Monday, June 22 at 8:30 PM.
The novel deals with the theme of the indestructible human spirit that refuses to be silenced, forgotten, or replaced even in the face of insurmountable obstacles. The story begins after the curtain falls on the actor’s life — his daughter begins writing a novel about her father in order to preserve his legacy from oblivion.

About the author
Ljubica Kubura was born in 1988 in Belgrade, where she currently lives and works. She has published the collection of short stories “Beogradski akvarel” and the novel “Epitaph for an Actor” (2023), as well as numerous short stories awarded in regional and domestic competitions. She is the screenwriter of the play “Čovek u crvenom odelu”, which premiered in 2012 at the Slavija Theatre.
Her writing is characterized by strong introspection, irony, and a distinctive relationship to literature and life. The author herself often emphasizes her affinity with the literary worlds of Chekhov and Dostoevsky.
