Spain, 16th century. The Inquisition. The performance tells the story of a choice between duty and feelings, about the boundary between a person and dogma, about how costumes change, but people do not.
In the Santa Cruz family, life was carefree, but the city was engulfed by the Inquisition. One of the count’s sons turned out to be a heretic, the other a zealot of the faith. The heroes face a choice: to remain faithful to their beliefs or to be a person capable of love.
