Kocić is known for a musical, expressive, and technically accomplished approach to a repertoire spanning from the Renaissance to the 21st century. Music critics have referred to him as a "master of soft tones" (SRF).
International recognition includes more than 50 awards, among them first prizes at:
- Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes (2014)
- Incontri Chitarristici di Gargnano
- Ruggero Chiesa competition
- Guitar festivals in Heinsberg and Alessandria (Michele Pittaluga)
Discography and concert activity: Kocić has released two albums on the NAXOS label and given more than 300 solo and chamber concerts worldwide. He has appeared at venues and festivals including the Lucerne Festival, Verbier Festival, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow, and Music Olympus in Saint Petersburg.
Since the autumn semester of 2022, Vojin Kocić has served as a professor of guitar at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK). He performs on a guitar built by luthier Jean Noel Roe and uses D'Addario strings.
