"AKADEMSKA KNJIGA": VLAHO BUKOVAC - "MOJ ŽIVOT"

Akademska knjiga from Novi Sad presents its publishing ventures through the cultural summer program at the House of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić on July 6 and 7.
On the first day, “Leksikon Andrićevog Sarajeva” by Borjan Mitrović will be presented. Through the lexicon form, the work maps Sarajevo as one of the key cities in shaping Andrić’s life and oeuvre. Borjan Mitrović (1990, Sarajevo) is a philologist and art historian, a doctor of literary studies, and in his work deals with space, time, and the poetics of Andrić’s work. In addition to the author, Žaneta Đukić Perišić will speak about the book.
On the second day, the autobiography of the painter Vlaha Bukovca “Moj život” will be presented, with the participation of Bora Babić, the director of IK, and editor Vladimir Petrović. The book tells the life story of one of the most significant painters from the Balkans – from childhood and travels through America and Europe, to international artistic recognition and portraits of European rulers and cultural greats.
In the new edition, the autobiography has been restored to its authentic form, with additional sections and rich archival material, offering readers a complete insight into the life and work of an artist whose fate was as dramatic as his art.
