PROMOCIJA ROMANA OLIVERE DOKLESTIĆ: "SA SUNCEM U OČIMA"

The promotion of the new novel “Sa suncem u očima” by Olivera Doklestić will be held at the House of Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić as part of the program cycle “Novski talas” on Thursday, July 9 at 8:30 p.m.
The novel was presented at the Belgrade Book Fair and was included in the broader selection for two prestigious literary awards:
The work thematizes the connections between neurological conditions and art, exploring the relationship between schizophrenia, epilepsy, and creativity. At the center of the story is the character of a doctor-victim through different eras, a man burdened by a personal family tragedy, yet driven by the need to understand and heal through conversation and acts of kindness as a form of healing. The plot spans from Herceg Novi and the former Yugoslavia to Auvers and Provence.
About the author: Olivera Doklestić was born in Herceg Novi in 1962. She is a Doctor of Technical Sciences, a civil engineer, journalist, and writer. She has published numerous novels, collections of short stories, poetry, and essays, and her work has been recognized in literary anthologies and media adaptations.
