Synopsis
Sanja Popović, a former junior champion, is now a tennis coach in Belgrade. After her relationship with a married man falls apart, on the verge of a nervous breakdown she arrives at her estranged daughter’s place in Montenegro, where she tries to start over. But there, too, she runs into problems. Her daughter’s seemingly settled life begins to unravel, while she is torn between two men. One drags her down, the other turns his back on her, and the past she has been fleeing all this time now catches up with her. Sanja is forced to confront herself for the first time, so she will not lose love and family.
About the directors
Nevio Marasović (Zagreb, 1983) is a film director and screenwriter, who graduated in film and television directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. He has directed six feature films: The Show Must Go On, Vis-à-Vis, Goran, Comic Sans, Pamtim samo sretne dane, and Šlager, as well as the comedy series Instruktor. His films have been shown and awarded at numerous international festivals. He has directed more than 250 commercials across Europe, has served on numerous juries, including the International Emmy, and is one of the founders of the Cinehill Film Festival.
Sandra Mitrović is a Serbian and American film and television director, screenwriter, and producer, known for the award-winning feature film Komedija na tri sprata (2021) and her work on international television series, including The Librarians: The Next Chapter (2024–2025) and the SYFY series The Ark (2022–2025). Her films have been screened at festivals around the world, and her short film Last Call won the National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Award for Best Student Film in 2019. She is the founder and director of the production company Filmland in Belgrade and holds a master’s degree in screenwriting and directing from Columbia University, New York.
