"Before the Piano" - a journey through the history of keyboard instruments

"Before the Piano" is a lecture-concert exploring the history of keyboard instruments. The programme addresses questions such as whether keyboard instruments were always as large and heavy as the modern piano, with strings and hammers, and how early organs developed.

Lecturer and performer: Ivan Velikanov, who will discuss these topics and perform on the medieval organetto and the baroque harpsichord.
