Synopsis
Calcutta, India, August 1948. Teresa, the superior general of the convent of the Sisters of Loreto, eagerly awaits a letter that will finally allow her to leave her convent and found a new order in response to the call she has received from God. Just when it seems that everything is ready, she faces a dilemma that calls into question her ambitions and her faith at one of the most important turning points of her life.
About the director
Born in Skopje, Macedonia, in 1974, Teona Strugar Mitevska acted in Macedonian Television programs from the age of six to twelve. After studying graphic design, she worked as an art director, and in 1998 she began film studies in New York. Her films have been screened and awarded at numerous international film festivals, including The Woman Who Brushed Off Her Tears (2012), which was shown in the Panorama program at the Berlin Film Festival in 2012.
