Poetic-musical lyrical performance “A Love Story: Milica and Ivo”

The Poetic-Musical Lyrical Performance “A Love Story: Milica and Ivo” will be held on 12 September at 8:30 p.m. at the House of Nobel Laureate Ivo Andrić. Admission is free.

The performance premiered in March 2024 at PARK Hall, produced by JUK “Herceg fest”, and was subsequently staged at the House of Nobel Laureate Ivo Andrić, a space suited to its form and theme.

The story is dedicated to the love between Milica Babić and Ivo Andrić and the happiest years they spent in Herceg Novi. It is based on Andrić’s works “Jelena, the Woman Who Does Not Exist” and “Signs by the Roadside”, his writings about Herceg Novi, and his letters to Milica, the woman Andrić waited for nearly thirty years.

The musical accompaniment consists of well-known compositions that accompany “A Love Story”, as well as the original piece “Memory”.
