Promotion of Iva Kapša Bilanović’s novel: “Vrbini godovi”

“Willow Rings,” the first novel by writer and painter Iva Kapša Bilanović, will be presented as part of the “Novski Wave” program cycle.

The presentation will be held on Thursday, October 8, at 6 p.m., in the foyer of Park Hall in Herceg Novi.

The novel deals with family memory, heritage, and the search for one’s own identity. Starting from a faded 19th-century photograph, the author follows the fates of women from different generations and, through their stories, raises questions about family, expectations, personal choices, and the need for a woman to preserve her own voice.

The book will be discussed by journalist and publicist Vitka Vujnović and Iva Kapša Bilanović.

Iva Kapša Bilanović was born in Vrbas and completed her undergraduate and master’s studies at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, in the Department of Serbian Literature and Language. She works in literature and painting and has so far held three solo exhibitions. She lives and works in Herceg Novi.
