Power Republic Open Cup

On 22 August, Herceg Novi will host one of the venues of the first international Power Republic Open Cup, bringing together athletes from several cities and countries.

Participants will compete in the deadlift — one of the core powerlifting disciplines. Athletes take turns approaching the platform and lifting the barbell from the floor to a full standing position. Each competitor has three attempts to achieve their best result.

The competition in Herceg Novi is part of a larger international tournament. Results from all venues will be combined into a single international ranking.

Results are compared using the DOTS coefficient, which accounts not only for the weight lifted but also for the athlete's own body weight. Rankings will change after each attempt, and the final results will only be known once the tournament has concluded at all venues.
