Synopsis
After an emotional breakdown caused by her mother's death, Maruša forms an online connection with Alja, a nurse who lives in a small coastal town in Germany. Bonding through humor and shared life struggles, Maruša and Alja quickly develop a friendship that will be put to the test when they finally meet in person.
About the director
Urša Menart graduated in film and television directing from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, University of Ljubljana. She has directed documentary films and was the co-writer of two feature films: Nightlife (Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, 2016) and Half-Sister (Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, 2019). Her debut feature film, which she wrote and directed, I Am Not a Cuckoo Anymore (2018), won numerous awards at the Festival of Slovenian Film, including the award for Best Film.
